Programs: Overview

Our goal is to provide life-enriching insights about thriving, surviving, and letting go. We feel that open, compassionate communication about living with serious illness, and dying with dignity and peace will relieve anxiety and reduce stress for those served. Through these programs, we seek to empower individuals in making proactive, well-educated choices about end of life issues. Our focus is on time-honored, natural healing practices as they relate to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness during times of transition.

Each program will be custom designed for two to six people; ideally to include a person in need and their support person(s). Care, guidance, and support for family members, care-givers, and health advocates are integral to all programs. Clients will engage in open, compassionate dialog about their feelings on topics such as  illness, curing vs. healing, death, dying, grieving, remembering, celebrating, and how to continue relationships after death.  We believe this kind of support will fulfill a crucial need for individuals, families, and communities.

Who to bring?
We can accommodate up to six people at the residence and we recommend bringing at least one person with you. You will want to bring with you, those who are most directly affected by the situation you are facing. This may include your spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, second family members, in-laws, extended “family” or friends. You may want to include your care-giver(s) or health advocate(s). We believe that your heart will tell you who to include, but if you are not sure, we can help you to explore this during the intake process.

What to bring?
If you choose a program that includes staying overnight at the retreat, you will want to bring: walking shoes, personal items for overnight (toothpaste, shampoo, hair dryer, pj’s etc.), journal, something to create sacred space (rock, photo, feather, flower etc.) You may wish to also bring: food for lunch and/or dinner, snacks, your own special pillow, yoga matt, or blanket; your own sacred texts, cards or other methods of questing; music tapes or CDs, videos or DVD’s.
